Trick or Treat

We took Jake and Paige to trick-or-treat with their cousin, Grant, in Stillwater. They had such a great time! Here's the pictures of Batman, Wubzy, and a Care Bear.

Look at all that candy! Now, see the trick or treat journey...

I hope all of you had a safe and happy trick-or-treat!

Celebrating Fall at School

Today was Jake's Fall party at school. Much to my surprise, his class was very well behaved during the party. I was having flashbacks from my teaching days and kinda dreaded going to the party. But, his class did great! They ate their snacks and played a few games without going nuts-o. Did being back in a classroom full of sweet kindergartners make me want to teach again? No, can't say that it did, but I sure enjoyed being there with my little buddy!
My sweet boy is so precious!

AND......
Paige's class went to the pumpkin patch on Tuesday. It was still super muddy, but those little 2 year olds did a great job listening to their teacher.

Both of my kids are super lucky to have amazing teachers and attend such great schools!

Spooky Swim

Jake has been taking swim lessons since the beginning of September. He did the summer course and enjoyed it so much that we put him in the school session. He goes once a week for 30 minutes. This week all the swim instructors were dressed up for Halloween and the lights were turned down way low to make it a "spooky swim!"

OSU Homecoming

I know it's been a week since my last post. What I've been doing this past week is a whole other post in itself (I started a new business....I know....WHAT? I will explain another time.)

So, last weekend we went to OSU homecoming, which is one of my favorite events of the year!! We unfortunately didn't go on Friday night for walk-arounds. This was the first year that we have missed since starting college there 14 years ago! SAD. We did make the parade on Saturday. This is always a special event because my dad was a former Pistol Pete and he rides in the parade every year. After the parade we did a little tailgating with the kids and then took them to Aunt Jamie and Uncle Craig's house so we could go to the game by ourselves. (Thank you AJ and UC!!)

We got to sit up in the Club Level with my Dad during the game. It was quite the experience! Four buffets of food, desserts, drinks, candy, more food, and more food. We ate and ate like we weren't gonna eat again! And, it was all included in the ticket....thank you Dad!!

Now, on to pictures...........

OSU homecoming has always been a big part of my life, since childhood. It is a family tradition that my parents started with me, and Brad and I will continue it with Jake and Paige.

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the pumpkin patch with the Kilgallon's and the Rice's. We've been going with them for 5 years now, and it's just our tradition. We eat at Pizza Shoppe and then hit the pumpkin patch. Today was fun, but a little bit of a disappointment. It was super muddy, and the kids couldn't really run around and play. We only stayed long enough to take a few pictures and have a few laughs!!
Jake and Karsten have been friends since they were babies.
They used to go to the same babysitter. They are only 4 days apart!

Here's the pumpkin patch gang!

College Sweethearts

Then.... Now....

I found these old pictures as I was cleaning out the closet. We sure did look young! I knew I was one lucky gal when I met Brad in college, but I never could have imagined a life as good as the one I am leading. He is my best friend, a great husband, and a wonderful father. I have no reason for being so mushy today, expect that maybe I am feeling grateful that the frat boy I fell in love with is still the same person I love today. And, I miss him a lot! He works so hard for our little family, and I am looking forward to a great weekend with him in Stillwater for OSU homecoming!
(now you can all stop gagging from all this lovey dovey talk and go give your sweetie a kiss...)
