Ready for the Beach

Our countdown to the beach has finally reached the end!!! We leave tomorrow for Myrtle Beach, and we can hardly wait. Every morning Jake crosses off another day. We even made up a dance and song about the beach and sing and dance to it daily.

Paige got her first pedicure....well, not really. I just painted her toes because she kept walking around with my nail polish. She actually sat still the whole time while I painted, and even sat still while they dried.

Admiring her pink toes!

She kept saying, "Just like Mama's. Just like Mama's."

Aren't those the cutest little pigs you ever saw?

Gymnastics

Paige was invited to two birthday parties the same day and both happened to be gymnastics parties. She absolutely had the best time! She loves to dance and perform, and I think she would benefit from taking a gymnastics class. She has so much energy, and this is right up her alley. I just love having a girlie girl....

Kiddie Park

The Kiddie Park in Bartlesville is a great place to take the kids! Most rides are only 25 cents! $10.00 worth of tickets lasted all night and we still had some left over.

Paige and Ellie rode most of the rides together.

My nephew, Grant, chose the tractor out of all the other cars.

Nothing but a pink car for Paige!
Isn't Embry the cutest thing ever? Love his smile!
Paige and Ellie were lucky enough to get the Boots boat. They love Dora!

Jake and Hayes were pumped they got the spider man boat!

Craig, Grant, and Jamie
Such a cute family! These two are definitely the princesses of their families!
Jake and Hayes were going so fast on the roller coaster the picture was blurry!

Paige is starting to get worn out...no smile here.

Jake was so happy all night and couldn't get enough of all the rides!
Grant and Paige wouldn't look at the camera. They couldn't quite figure out how to make the airplane go up into the air, so it stayed down low the whole time. They still had fun!

The last thing Jake did was the bumper cars. It was a great way to end the evening!

Our weekend with Grant

My sister in law, Jamie, and my nephew, Grant, came up to spend the weekend with us. We had the best time! We stayed super busy, but had so much fun. First off, we hit the aquarium followed by a yummy dinner at the Riverwalk....Los Cabos!
After the aquarium and dinner we hit the pool for an early evening swim.

On Saturday we went to the zoo. It was pretty hot and crowded, but we saw the main animals. I think their favorite part was the sack lunch we brought!
The last thing on the agenda for the weekend was the Kiddie Park in Bartleville. You will just have to wait until tomorrow for that post. We had an amazing weekend full of adventure!

Pinkalicious

Boys can wear pink too, right? Jake told me that pink was for girls. I disagree!

Lil' Golfer

Brad and Jake had some "guy time" last night. While Paige and I went to the mall, they went golfing. I have a feeling that's how it will be for many years!

Brad gave him a choice of either going swimming or golfing and he chose to golf. Who would've guessed? Maybe we have a future pro on our hands.

For your viewing pleasure....

Looking Back... Fun in the Mud

2 years old
Daddy let Jake play in the mud while I was having a girl's night out. Notice in the video Brad keeps saying, "Blow Mommy a kiss." He was afraid I would freak out. I don't like messes! Needless to say, I didn't freak out. Brad had him all cleaned up before I got home. I also love how Jake kept saying, "Cheese. Cheese." He has always loved having his picture taken!

Sunday Sun

We spent the afternoon at the pool. We loaded up the ice chest with food and drinks and set off to enjoy some rays. Jake's swimming is progressing each time we go. Brad has been really working with him. Paige enjoys hanging out in the baby pool playing with her teacups and any other water toy that random people have brought. It's kind of a share and share alike situation.

The only downer today was that I got stung by a bee twice. Yes, a bee. Seriously hurt! It almost brought tears to my ears. I haven't been stung since I was a kid and forgot how painful it was. Now, I have a swollen left hand and a big red spot on my stomach. Maybe that bee was telling me that I shouldn't be wearing a bikini...ha!

Love the expression on his face!

Tea anyone? Just the right amount of chlorine has been added for your pleasure.

Having a little snack

Cool Ranch Doritos are a must have for summer!

Jake sharing his icecream sandwich with little sister. He really is the best big brother!

Bounce U

We met some friends at BounceU for a playdate. It's a great place to go to burn off some energy and listen to fun music.

Paige couldn't get enough of the trampoline.

Jake took Paige down the big slide the first time, and after that she didn't need help!

Jake loves the spider man web!

They worked up quite an appetite, so we went with Hayes, Embry, and Ellie to McDonald's afterwards. (Paige didn't want to be in the picture.)
