Pinkalicious Party

I went a little crazy with all the pink for Paige's party, but I love how it turned out. All the guests wore pink too and that made it extra cute! The cake and cupcakes were made by a local bakery (A Sweet Success), and I must say that I thought they were better than my beloved Merritt's bakery in T-town. We even had pinktastic water bottles!

Brad picked these flowers out for his princess.

Jake and Brad were good sports too and wore pink too!

I love this picture of my babies

These giant cookies were sent home with each guest. It was the perfect party favor.
I ordered this adorable banner with her name on it, and it came in the mail after the party was over. I hung it up anyway!

Paige enjoyed her party, and loved every minute of being the center of attention. We rented a bouncy house, but due to rain we had to cancel it. The kids didn't seem to mind. They had so much fun playing upstairs. This was a very pinktastic day!

Happy 4th Birthday Paige

I can't imagine life without my princess. God sent us on a very emotional journey 4 years and 9 months ago, and out of that journey came my beautiful daughter. She is so full of energy and life. She makes up songs, likes to dance and entertain, and she has the kindest heart. She says, "Mommy, I love you" at least 10 times a day. But, she also has an "edge" about her. She is persistent and stubborn. She is the happiest little girl in the world as long as she is getting her way! If I raise my voice at her, she cries and says, "Mommy, you hurt my feelings." This breaks my heart, but I stay strong. You see, this little angel could quite possibly get away with everything if I would only let her because I completely adore her. But, I know I must teach her discipline to ensure that she grows up to be a lady. My baby also loves to shop. She will pick up an outfit and say, "This is adorable!" I have a feeling she will be my best shopping partner in the years to come. She is such a snuggle bug, and loves to crawl in bed with us in the morning. However, when she really wants me to wake up she will pull open my eyelids with her fingers and say, "Wake up, Mommy!" She loves her brother and her daddy with all her heart. She gives them lots of special "Paigie Hugs" as she calls them. There are no words to describe how much joy and happiness she has brought into our lives. I know God has very special plans for her.

Happy 4th Birthday to Princess Paigie Girl!

**The picture was taken by my friend, Jessah.

Theta Princess Party

Paige was invited to the Princess Party at my college sorority house. They do this party every year for the little legacies. They ate pizza, did a fashion show (which Paige walked in), watched a princess movie, had their make-up done, nails painted, and ate big cookies. She had such a great time! Jake and I were able to catch a movie while she was at the party. It was a fun filled day in Stillwater.

It makes me smile to see Paige in a Kappa Alpha Theta t-shirt. I can only hope that someday she will be wearing them all the time!

Jenna's Birthday Yarn Bow

We celebrated our niece's 1st birthday last weekend. I can't believe I didn't take my camera! But....The morning of her party Jake decided to make a bow for Jenna. I wasn't quite sure what he was talking about when he said, "Look, I made Jenna a yarn bow for her birthday." My sweet boy had taken a roll of yarn, cut it to the size he wanted, and then tied it in a bow. Then he so cleverly (is that a word, cleverly?) attached a paper clip so she could clip it in her hair. He was just so proud of himself and wanted Jenna to wear his bow with pride! Ha!! Aunt Jamie was kind enough to take a picture of precious Jenna wearing her "yarn bow" and email it to me so that Jake could see her wearing it. I showed him the picture and he was beaming from ear to ear. Jenna seems pretty happy to be wearing the bow, don't you think?

R.I.P Willie

Willie “The Oil Dog"

Now that you are riding that Derek in the sky

Our hearts sink heavy as we bid good bye

You loved the ranch, you loved to roam free

At the rig for dinner, chewing bones with glee

Your whimper could make our hearts sink low

Till we realized finally, it was all for show

Those summer nights on the porch drinking beer

They were always made better with Willie Nelson near

You had a way of lifting spirits with your crooked trot

Lack of passion for life and people, you suffered not

Your legend will continue to grow in the land of the Kaw

That Mighty Oil Hound with the crooked paw

You had a dynamic personality, larger than any other

You were Willie the Oil Dog and we will miss you brother.

Written by my brother, Jay, who hopefully won't care that I posted this on my blog. It was just to good not to share. Willie will be missed!

Dress Up and 'P' Day

Today at school Jake was supposed to dress up as "what you want to be when you grow up." We looked all through his closet for a Lego shirt because he wants to be a Lego Designer. He told me that he wants to create new Lego things for kids to build. Do I see a future architect?

The problem was that we couldn't find a Lego shirt that still fit, so he decided to wear his "Dirty Jobs" shirt that Aunt Jamie gave him for Christmas. He LOVES that show, which I find hilarious. He will sit and watch several episodes in a row. Soooo, this is his back-up profession if being a Lego Designer doesn't work out! Love this boy.....

At Preschool today Paige learned all about the letter 'P'. She wore pink, took her Pinkalicious book, and her pink baby to school. I'm pretty sure she thought today was 'Paige' day instead of just 'P' day!

HB to My Mama

Happy Birthday to my sweet Mama. I honestly don't know what I would do without her. She is always there to rescue me when I need help or to cheer me up when I've had a rough day. She always knows just the right thing to say. She is so full of kindness and has so much love to give. I'm just thankful that God chose her to be my Mom!

My Little Pony Tea Party

I came upstairs to find Paige having a tea party with her ponies.
I must admit, she is quite the hostess.
