Beautiful Day

One of my joys in life is watching my kids play
at the park in 70 degree weather. What a beautiful day!

Student of the Week

Jake was chosen to be student of the week in his classroom a while back. He is such a great kid, and I am praying that he will find his place in Ponca City.

We were in Ponca City last week, and we took him by his new school. He played on the school playground, met some new friends, and even met his teacher. The principal gave us a tour, and I must say that Jake feels much better after seeing it (I know I certainly feel better!!)

I know he will be sad to leave his classmates in Jenks, but I am praying the last three weeks of school in Ponca will allow him have a great summer there with a lot of new friends!

Happy 3rd Bday Paige!!!

Today my baby turned three years old. She woke up and said, "Mommy, I not two anymore. I three!" We had dance class this morning, and then had a party for her at Hideaway Pizza.
This birthday girl looks super fab in her tutu
and cowboy boots, don't you think?

Papa Mitch took her shopping yesterday.
She picked out those boots and will not take them off!
The Carebear cake.
Merritt's Bakery did not disappoint....yummy as always!

Hannah, Paige, and Leah

How can this baby actually be 3 years old???

Blowing out the candles....

The cake was so yummy that Hannah ate her
piece and then started working on Paige's piece!!
Best friends do share everything, right?

Time for presents.

Paige was super excited to get a My Little Pony.

Here is the florist bringing Paige a special
delivery from Papa Mitch and Gamma Nancy....a dozen pink roses!

Happy Birthday to my precious Paige....
who brings love, laughter, and more joy than any mother can hope for.
I love you princess.

Las Vegas

We went to Las Vegas for a family medicine conference last week. Brad and the other 9 senior residents had to take their OMT board exam. They all passed!!! So the wives tagged along for the ride....

We were there on St. Pat's day, and there was green everywhere. We did a lot of people-watching that day....
There are some "odd ducks" in this world.

Michelle and I hung out while the guys took their test.

Ryan and Michelle at Margaritaville.
We had the.best.nachos.ever!

The fountain show at the Bellagio.

To celebrate passing Boards we ate at the
Top of the World restaurant. It was so yummy!

On the last night there all the OSU residents (and a few attendings)
went to a dinner show together.

We had a great time, and it was a nice getaway....
But, leaving Vegas is almost as good as getting there.
Does that makes sense?

The joys of having a girl

Little Architect

Jake loves to build things. He is really into legos, lincoln logs, blocks, and anything that allows him to read directions and build something.
Hmm...you know OSU has a great Architectural program!

Have you missed me?

It's been awhile since I've blogged. We have been really busy. Last weekend we went to OKC to celebrate my Grandmother's 87th birthday!

This lady is so dear to me. There are certain people in your life that you can always count on and she is that person to me. I look up to her in so many ways. She is full of life and love!

Paige loves her Nony so much!

We also sold our house....in one day! It's been a whirlwind. We are now moving one month earlier than expected, which means Jake will have to finish out Kindergarten in Ponca. I'm not really sure how I feel about this, but it's what we are going to do. He will be able to make friends for the summer, and it should help with the anxiety next year when he starts 1st grade.

We are leaving for Las Vegas next week and I can't wait! Brad has to take one of his board exams there, so all our friends from residency will be there too. The best part about the trip is that it is paid for by the residency program, all except my plane ticket.

Lots of changes going on for our family!

Happy Birthday Nana

Paige loves to play CareBears with her Nana.
And, Jake likes when Nana helps him build cool stuff with Legos.

Just a little message to Nana from her grandbabies.

Happy Birthday to an amazing lady who raised four crazy kids! Now that I'm a mother I don't know how she did it. Her grace and beauty is not only on the outside, but very much on the inside too. She is able to see the positive and good in any situation, and I hope she knows how loved she is by everyone who meets her.

Have a special day Mommy Dearest....

Jenna Marie

Big Brother Grant welcomed his baby sister, Jenna Marie, on February 26th.
She was 8 pounds 5 ounces and was 21 inches long.
She arrived at 6:45 pm.

How precious is she with that pink bow???

This picture makes my heart melt. He loves his Sissy!

Paige was very excited to hold her new cousin!

Kisses from cousin Jake
