All Night Long

Paige slept all night in her new "big girl" bed. She must really love it, because there was no bedtime battle. She did ask me to lay with her, and I did for about 5 minutes. But, when I left she just went right to sleep. This morning around 7:30 I heard her talking, and when I went to check on her she was just sitting on her bed with a big smile. So sweet!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that every night is this easy!

As the warm weather comes to an end we are trying to spend as much time outside playing as we can. Last night we had so much fun!

Busy Weekend

Friday morning Paige and I went to a piggiesandpaws party,

and then Leah and Baby Brison came over to play.

Saturday morning we went to Merritt's bakery,

and loaded up on Fall cookies. YUMMY!

Saturday afternoon and evening we spent in Stillwater rooting on our Cowboys!

We beat Grambling State 56 to 6! Goooooooo Pokes!!

Big Girl Bed

This little cupcake is getting her big girl bed on Tuesday. They called today to confirm delivery. I am going to spend the next few days enjoying the fact that she is still in her crib and feeling a little sad that she's ready for a big bed. This is a big deal! The baby bed has been a part of our lives for almost 6 years and it's going to be put away never to be brought out again. Yes, I know....I'm being totally dramatic about the situation.

Baby Niece

This is my nephew, Grant. He found out today that he is going to have a little sister! I am so excited to have a niece to spoil! Paige and I went shopping today and already bought her a new toy and outfit. This little girl is already so loved.

When I asked Jake what he thought about having a new baby girl cousin he said, "I think she will grow up and play the Wii with me."

Congratulations Craig, Jamie, and Grant on the exciting news!!!!

Gymnastics

Paige started Gymnastics last week, and I must say it's not going as well as I expected. The first week was a total unorganized disaster with 2 and 3 year olds running wild everywhere. (Mine of course was the ring leader!) The coach wasn't there, and it was a sub that was just filling in. This week was much better as far as structure goes, but my little gymnasts thinks she's ready for the Olympics. Instead of sitting still and listening to her coach she was running around and trying to do things herself. I was even asked by the coach to come sit by Paige to keep her still. YEAH RIGHT! She doesn't know Princess Paige very well. I tried to hold her down and make her stay still, but she just squealed louder. The coach has promised me that with time it will get better. She loves to go and always wants it to be "My turn. My turn!"

One thing is for sure, she sure looks cute in that little leopard leotard!

Paige has so much energy, and she's not afraid to try anything! This is one of the things I love about her most. She's a little ball of fire, and she melts my heart everyday.

My babies are ready for school.

Seriously, where does the time go? I know I will enjoy every season of my life, but I am sometimes saddened by the fact that my babies are growing up so fast. I love all the hugs and kisses I get now, and it feels good to be needed. Someday they will roll their eyes at me, and I will embarrass them. For now, I am going to enjoy every minute with them, and cherish this season of my amazing life!

Due to all the rain lately it's been hard for the kids to play outside. But, today we did it anyway. They had so much fun splashing around in the puddles and using their umbrellas!

My Sweet Boy

Jake has a personality a lot like my brother, John. He is more on the quiet side. A kid that would rather sit back and let someone else be the center of attention. But, when your not expecting it he can say the funniest things! He has a great sense of humor and the kindest heart I know. He is a very compassionate child, and always cares about other people's feelings. He really is a sweetheart, and I have always felt that he is a very special child. I'm not sure what God has in store for him as he grows up, but I have a feeling Jake will do great things.

But, don't be fooled. This little guy can stand up for himself!

On the way home from school the other day Jake burped really loud, and then said, "That's how you know when the tanks full."

He of course said, "Excuse me" first because that's the kind of sweet boy that he is!

She kept saying, "Need Kit Cat." But, Miss Debbie told her only at rest time!

Then, she decided to sit down with a good book and read.

I can't believe my baby is old enough to start preschool, even if it's just the two year old program. She walked right in and acted like she had been there forever. 3 out of the 6 kids in the class were crying, and Paige just went on about her buisness like it was no big deal that I was leaving. I now have two days to myself.....oh, the things I can get done!

Cowboys Season Opener

All I can say about the OSU vs. Georgia game on Saturday is....WOW! Go POKES! What a great way to start the season.
