January at a Glance

Where has January gone? Since I failed miserably on updating my blog this month I will just give you a few highlights this month. We celebrated Jake's 7th birthday with two parties, one for friends and one for family. We also helped celebrate several family members birthdays and also a few friends. This was a month full of birthdays!

We had a snow day off from school.

This day was super productive for me!

Becky came over, and we re-arranged and

organized our home office while the kids played upstairs.

Jake played Indiana Jones most of the time,

along with days filled with building lego sets.

We attended Mary Fallin's Pre-Inaugural Ball at the Marland Mansion. My goal for the evening was to talk to her and I did! I looked a little funny grabbing her husband's arm and following them around, but I accomplished what I set out to do. They had photographers everywhere taking pictures, but Brad took this picture of Becky and I before we left. I thought it was pretty cute!

Jake and Paige also had dental appointments.
This was Paige's first time at the dentist. She did great!


January is supposed to go out with a bang.
We are expecting a huge snow storm throughout the night. If I'm not able to get out and get my Diet Coke tomorrow it could get ugly. I'm just sayin'.......

Back Dating

So, it's been a while since I've updated my blog and I have tons to blog about, so just get ready to see some back-dating. I realize we are well into January, but I will be blogging about Christmas and New Years and Jake's birthday. It's more for me so that I have a record of everything since I've failed to keep up with my scrapbooking. Hopefully I will have some time tomorrow to update this bloggy blog of mine. Until then, here's a picture of our front door when it still had lights on it. They came to take down all the lights a few days ago, and the children were NOT HAPPY!

This little boy has brought so much joy into my life. From the moment I found out I was pregnant I loved him. He is who made me a mommy. I am so proud of the little guy he has

become.

Christmas Day

We spent Christmas Day in Oklahoma City with the Liston Family.

We started out celebrating with Grandma Lois for lunch,

and then headed to Grammy and Papa's for dinner.

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning was a lot of fun! I didn't sleep well the night before. I kept waking up checking the time. I just knew I would hear little foot steps coming down those stairs. We actually had to wake them up at 7:30. They must have been tired!

Christmas Eve

I love Christmas Eve! We started out my going to Christmas Eve Mass, which is by far my favorite mass of the year. Then we headed to Chilis to eat. It was nice to enjoy eating out since I had been cooking for days. The kids are so excited to see what Santa will bring them in the morning!
