Jake and Paige got to stay with Grammy and Papa for a few days this week. Of course, I had to send the camera. They had such a great time that neither one of them wanted to come home. They went to Andy Alligators, rode go carts, went to the park, and went swimming.
My little firecrackers would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July!
I absolutely love this holiday. The food, the lake, the entertainment, and the fireworks are all so much fun, but the real reason we celebrate this holiday makes me so proud! I have always been patriotic, but after 9/11 it became "real" for me. I understood why America is such a great place to live. When I hear the Lee Greenwood song, "Proud to be an American" it almost brings tears to my eyes, because it reminds me of all the great reasons our country is free. Our service men and women deserve so much respect, and I am so grateful that they are putting their lives on the line for us.
This year while you are celebrating with friends and family please say a prayer for our nation and the people who love and protect it. God Bless the USA!!!!
Today this guy started his first day as Chief Resident. I am so proud of him! I can't believe that this time next year he will be completely done and on his own. We have been so blessed to be in a family-friendly residency program at OSU. July 1st is always a good day in the life of a resident, unless you are an intern (interns are scared out of their minds!). It marks the day of the new medial year and another number behind your name marking the year of residency you are in. So, Baby welcome to the 3rd and last year of residency!!
I am the mother of two beautiful children, and the wife of a family medicine physician. We left Tulsa after 10 years and have started our new life in a small town. We love how this life is treating us!
