Meet the Teacher

Tonight was Meet the Teacher night at school. My baby is in Pre-K this year, and my big boy is in 2nd grade. How is that possible? Paige and her teacher, Mrs. Glowacki. She even has a locker. How grown up is that?

I look at him sometimes and sadness fills my heart. He's growing up so fast, and I realize he'll start to need me less and less. That's a good thing, I know. But, he's my first born. He made me a Mommy. Having him taught me about unconditional love. Yep, that's my 2nd grader. The Liston kids are ready to rock out Woodlands!

This table cloth was made by my Grandma Faye and was a gift to my mom when she was a newlywed. I know she was looking down from heaven watching this beautiful evening.

Lake Time

We spent all day at Kaw Lake with the family on Uncle Jim's boat and on the beach behind Uncle John's new house. This is the same beach that we used to swim at when we were kids. I hadn't been out there in years so that made it extra fun!

We watched the sunset on the boat ride home. It was a perfect day!

July 4th weekend

We started the weekend out at Lake Eufaula.

Jake got to drive the golf cart for the first time this year. He was so cute giving everyone rides all over . He was like a little tour guide telling us all about the lake as he drove around. Jenna in her festive swimsuit.
