Golfing Buddies

Sun n Fun

Sun n Fun is Ponca City's own little version of White Water. We bought a season pass and go a couple of times a week. It's got big rides and a little toddler area that is perfect for Paige. This little water park has been around a long time. My mom used to take us when we were kids, and now I get to share it with my babies.

The Lake

We love the lake! We look forward to going all summer. We were able to go a couple of weekends ago, but I'm just now posting pics. I've slacked off on my blogging this summer. The kids are keeping me busy!

Paige, always riding in style.

Jake enjoys the lake almost more than anyone.
He is always asking when we can go again.

He loves to just swim around,

and when he gets tired he plays in the sand.

Paige is more the "run around the beach" type gal.

She gets in and splashes around,

but almost always stays close to shore.

This is Jake's lake pet. He found a turtle and gave it a temporary home.

The kids watched Mr. Turtle all weekend, and begged to take him home.

We almost caved. Jake's been asking for a pet for quite some time.

He was very excited to show him off!

In the end, Jake decided that Mr. Turtle would rather stay at the lake with his family.

Thank goodness or we may have come home with a turtle.
I have a feeling that this will be a new tradition at the lake. He will want to find a turtle and take care of it while we're there and then set him free at the end of the weekend.

Works for me!

Goodbye Residency

As of July 1st Brad is no longer a Resident. After seven long years of medical school and residency we can finally see the bright light at the end of the tunnel.

I got together with a few of the wives and we planned a surprise party at Ted's the last day of residency. Our guys were excited and grateful that we wanted to do something special for them.

The new crew of family medicine docs!!! These guys have been friends since medical school and I'm certain their friendship will last a lifetime.

The wives...I love these girls!
They have been my support group throughout the last seven years.


It was a special night and a great way to celebrate the end of such a HUGE accomplishment!

I'm so proud of you Brad!!!!

Tulsa comes to Ponca

We were finally able to have all our friends from Tulsa come see our new homestead. We had six families here, and believe me, we had a blast!!! The kids played upstairs, and the adults helped ourselves to some yummy food and drinks. Believe it or not, I didn't take any pictures other than the ones below. It was great to have them here and show them a little bit of my new life in a new town. The day went by too fast, and I miss them already!

Swim Lessons

This week we completed swim lessons. Jake is a pro at swim lessons, but this is the first year for Paige to take them. She didn't want to put her head in the water at first, but by the last lesson she was blowing bubbles. Jake's favorite thing was jumping off the diving board!

which made for all kinds of excitement!
